installing win7 with a USB - how???

hey there,

so i have win7 ULTIMATE 64bit and would like to install it on a HDD that i partitioned today. the thing is that i don't have a cd-burner and would like to do it with a usb key.....but how can i do that???

i've taken the .iso file and extracted it.
i know i can set the first boot device in bios to a USB port.
but just copying the files onto the USB does not work :(

anyone done this yet????

You can also just run the Setup.exe

Windows 7 puts all the files it needs for the install onto the partition so you don't even need to burn the .iso or mount it to USB.

I discovered this on accident, after many failed attempts at creating the Bootable USB. It didn't work so I just ran the installer and it worked.

The tutorial linked above does work though.

tut tut...i believe win7 ULTIMATE AIO is infact illegal!

And cannot be discussed on here!
