Installing Windows XP onto a blank Harddrive

OK, I have spent about 3 months and £2000 building my perfect computer, now I am trying to install Windows XP: Home Edition onto it and it keeps going through set-up repeatedly, formatting the drive, installing components and then restarting, where he computer goes to set up, formats the hard drive and installs components :confused: . I really want to use my new computer (I'm writing this on a Pentium II) but this is holding me back, any help would be much appreciated.

Strange indeedy. Is the computer just rebooting at a certain point in the instal process or is it at different points in the instal process? Could you please provide a bit more information on your system specs as you've included none :p. What type of hard drive is it? etc.
