Also I finished the installation, and my pc rebooted then it went back to the selection screen to install without formating your hard drive or format your hard drive then install... I have tried both, with and without formating, I have also tried clearing the CMOS battery, and I have also tried 2 different CD's (Windows XP pro sp2) in fear that one was damaged and I get the same errors.

recently it got farther, I had to switch it to boot from HDD instead of CD and then it will say it is installing windows and I get a BSOD every time.

Is it saying it cant find these files or copy these files? If so maybe your CDROM is going bad and is having trouble reading the disk.

On other forums, people who have similar problems of not being able to copy alot of files, have found the problem to be bad ram, so would say run memtest to see if it is.
