Ok so I have a eee pc 1005 netbook installed with ubuntu. I would like to install xp via flashdrive, but cant figure out how to. I have read guides but they dont work.Btw using a 1 gig flashdrive. Plz HElp!

Do you know for sure that XP drivers are available for your pc? Make sure to research that first. Also, I believe you need at least a 2 gig flash drive to mount xp to it. I assume you already have a copy and license of xp?

1 GB USB stick is enough.I have done it a million times and it works like charm.
Look on the internet for the program called "USB_MultiBoot_10".With it you can put your Windows XP CD contents on your USB stick and make it bootable so you can install Windows XP from the USB stick with no problems.
If you dont know how to do this,I will connect to your computer with the Team Viewer and do the work for you if you want me to and explain you everything.

NOTE: You MUST have the USB stick of at least 1 GB and the Windows XP CD and its serial number!!!

Cheers!

No offense to Stars but I would be very leary letting a complete stranger log onto my computer... lets think about that for a minute...

I have installed lots of OS using a flash drive. I use a program called WinToFlash. A program free to download and will copy the windows files to the usb flash. Then you need to go into bois and set the boot priority to boot with a flash drive first. Then just plug it in after transferring files and restart. The setup will load normaly. Here is the link to the program: http://wintoflash.com/home/en/. Hope this helps.
