Insufficient Hard Disk Space on the C:/ Drive

I have a computer that is nearly filled up with disk space. I have two partitions, a C:/ and D:/ drive. Now the C:/ has 938MB free of 68.2GB and the D:/ has 49.9GB free of 80.6GB. Is there a way on how we can move items to the D:/ by making more space on the C:/ ?

I have thought of moving some files and folders onto the D:/ but the thing is that these are mosly installation files. How about if I move the .ost and .pst files that are used y Outlook? I don't take they will make a difference if I map the data files in Outlook again will there?

This computer is critial so therefore this has to be done as soon as possible. What else can I do please?

Do you have documents and files on the C drive? That would be the easiest way to free up space. If it's just applications and the OS, you can uninstall some large apps and then install them on the D drive instead.

Have you tried the "disk cleanup" tool under "properties" for you C:/ ? Also CCleaner can help sweep the cobwebs outta system. just make sure you know all the user names & passwords for the programs / sites that auto-log on. If not careful, will have to "remember me" again to the sites! ( i do it all the time ... )
