integrated graphics card?

I'm cute! :D

If you wated a great card, the 8809 would be fantastic, but it may be too big or it may require too much power, in which case you'd have to remove the power supply and buy a new one.

You could look at a 7600, it's a good card, would play games on medium to high, or a 7900, that'd play games on high. :)

Thanks Kornowski--I'll look a the 8809-I"m going to have to replace the power supply anyway. My kids are graphics freaks so they want hi resolution only!

Lisa, I would tell your kids to earn the money to buy it them self, then go use the money you were going to spend on them to go to a nice day spa and relax.

Sounds like you deserve it! :)

^ I would also agree. If the intergrated graphics can run the game... 99.9999999% you wouldn't need an 8800.. if integrated can run it an GeForce2 could probably do it.

Who don't love graphics? :P

It was a typo, he meant 8800.... just so you know lol :D

There actually was a nvidia 8809 video card back in 2000. It was made by MSI It was based on the geforce 256 chip

i think a 8600 GT should be efficient for low end and some high end games > 150 and up^

8800 GTS can play all games on highest settings with superb graphics , lowest 280 and up ^ and with a minimum of a 400 watt PSU i think her computer is efficient enough for an 8800 GTS

As for your case- you might need both slots for one card or something but I'm SURE it will fit. If you're curious you can measure. I would go with a 500W PSU or something if you're running an 8800, but really the 8800 is the best out there, so only go with that if you're all about spoiling... errr.. treating your kids. The 7900 should do the trick, if not an 8600 or something. Either way you're talking pretty good stuff. I'm replacing my computer soon here but I'm running a 9250 and that's been decent enough for me and I'm 19, so I think they'll survive. Integrated graphics really don't do well though, I would agree with your kids on that.
