I am planning an office computer that will not be doing gaming, probably no video related stuff. Would integrated be fine for that?

What if it were used to play videos?

btw, thanks for the answers, i really wanna get this done. (excuse the gramma)

for high def videos, or anything at all that requires 3d rendering (including Aero), you will be better off with the 8400GS. if you are running XP and going to be watching videos on Youtube or .AVIs then integrated is fine.

wow, that was fast. thanks you.

I think we will have vista so I may want a card. How does 8500GT fit in? Or 8600GT? would any of these be fine with hi-def?

yeah, actually, in my experience the 8500GT is awesome for media, its just not great for gaming. try to get one with an HDMI port, i think MSI makes a decent one, this way you can hook up to a HDTV. also, cards with an HDMI port usually have a seperate cable that will connect to your audio headers on the mobo, and you can stream audio through HDMI as well.
