Integrated Video Card not responding

Hello, please I would appreciate any thoughts on the following problem.

I started installing a fresh O/S (wxpprof) but then my computer suddenly stopped booting and started making some beeps. After reading on forums, I found out that the beeps (one long and two short) are telling me that the video card is dead or malfunctioning (my board is running a Awards BIOS).

So I have understood to this point that the video card need to be fixed. The video card in integrated in the M.board (onboard), so I went ahead and downloaded the manual from the board's manufacturer to see how could I fix the problem. But the manual doesn't mention anything about this issue or how to disable the graphics card while the screen is blanked (no image at all).

If anyone could help I would appreciate it. Please note that I am not being able to see anything on the Monitor, as a result, I am not being able to follow any isntructions that mention steps to be followed on a screen. My screen is blanked.

Can I fix this problem? Do I need to buy a graphics card? How do I go about disabling the onboard card to intall the new one (again, given that I cannot see anything on screen)?
Thanks a lot!

Well what you have it similar to what I had. Its called "Computer not posting" AKA not picture. What happoned in mine is that the motherboard or Mainboard as some call it was killed for some reason, onboard nor Graphics card was working. I figure I must have overclocked it too much. But simply, I had to get a new motherboard and that was all. When you turn on your computer have your monitor on before hand so the on light is blinking (AKA Sleep mode) when you turn it on normally it should stop blinking and stay on, if it doesnt then your computer is not giving a siganal. Thats is what happoned to me. If it at least gets a siganal then you arnt too far gone...

Try using the CMOS reset jumper. Also, make sure the monitor is plugged into the port well. I have seen a few computers that beep if there's no monitor plugged in.

worst case, get a video card. That should work. and I know that you don't need to change the settings to get it to work. it should work on its own.

That Jumper He was talking about lookes like this

You want to move it one over then turn your computer on (or hold button for 5 seconds) then move it back.

I'm still Lost....

Thanks a lot for all the replies... But I am affraid I am still lost. Could someone please be more specific. I am not really good at hardware, I just always get around problems by following instrunctions in forums such as this ones.

So it would be helpful if you consider the following points/questions:

-I don't have an extra graphics card hooked to any soket (as I mentioned originally, it's integrated in the motherboard)

-My motherboard is K8M800-MLVF and you're kind and bother to click this link, you can see more info about the board: http://us.dfi.com.tw/Product/xx_pro....jsp?PRODUCT_ID=2920&CATEGORY_TYPE=MB&SITE=NA

-Can someone explain how I move the jumpers please? What would moving the jumpers do to the board? Would I have to have another video card ready before I change the jumpers?

Thanks a lot all!
