It is the P4 640

I would recommend the a64 3500 if you plan to OC, if you don't, I would still go with the 3500. Brand new CPU's usually have a few quirks that need to be worked out, and this one hasn't been around long enough for things like that to be fixed.

Well the CPUs may cost the same but the mobos sure dont... depends on the budget

But it makes it a lot harder to help/answer questions if it takes five minutes to translate a post.

how does it make it harder
do u use none stop puncuation in msn
i never use it people still understand me
Are you using line breaks for a reason? ...same effect as punctuation. Its really a combination of no puncuation, poor grammer, and poor spelling that makes posts really hard to read.

It makes it harder when your posts get filtered out by the grammer filter

It makes it harder to understand, like someone said, we have to try to figure out what you are trying to ask when your question is just a long string of letters. A good name for your typing style would be 'word splooge.'

So if you would so kindly use correct grammar and punctuation next time, we would give you a ''brake.''

Do you prefer disk, or drum style?

In answer to your question, most people would tell you to use AMD over Intel for gaming, due to the fact that you can easily overclock AMD processors.

I am currently using dual xeons with the EMT64 bit technology, running Windows 64x Beta. (I think thats the name of it, not really sure.)

I'd have to say that having used an AMD 64 bit processor and then using my set up, I would have to keep what I have. But then again, it all depends on what you are using the system for, I mostly use mine for 3dMax/rendering/heavy multi-tasking. I do use it for games as well, and I must say that it really kicks some ass.

Down side is the motherboards availible for dual xeons, the fastest ram available to use is only PC2700, albeit I have 4GB of it. :)

But it all comes down to your budget. If you have a rather small budget, AMD is the way to go.

LOL

The overclocability tends to apply to the FX series only ... which is uber expensive to start with (and if you've got hat kinda money it doesnt matter much); the real advantage of the AMD procs is the use of an on-die memory controller which drops the latency :)

Look compfreak, if you want us to help you and be happy that you are on the forums, we need you to work with us. Yes, you use "non stop punctuation" in MSN. But is this MSN? If you want to talk in MSN, then go to MSN or AIM, if you want to talk here, please respect everybody. Or your stay here will not be very enjoyable. Just clean up your grammar and punctuation. I mean, have some respect.

Don't make yourself look like a 11 year old who failed P.E. and doesn't have respect for anyone else but yourself. (No offense to any 11 or under users here, I jsut use that term, because many I encounter, act very immature.)

EDIT: Argh, sorry I just realized he was banned.
