well it truly depends on wat ur doin with ur computer. and they are both very good quality. i wuld personally think that intel is a bit more popular to normal computer noobs due to the fact they are commonly used by dell and gateway and those companies. but if ur sort of trying to figure out which is best for u all u have to do is ask urslef if u are a gamer or not.
Quality of both companies is on par i think. I've had outstanding AMD computers, and great Intel computers. My old P3 still worked after years of use, and this AMD i'm on now will probably be the same. Never had any processor just "die" on me for no reason.
For what I do, I like AMD. I game alot, and I don't have alot of money. Back when Socket-A was new AMD was the best bang for your buck, and Intel was for the richer kids. I still think that's true today, but on a larger scale.
