That doesn't seem right, Core 2 Duo's on an 865 chipset...

I would go with this motherboard instead, since it allows you to use DDR and DDR2, and AGP as well as PCI-E. So it will be easy to upgrade in the future, without having to buy everything at once.

A nifty idea in principle, but I can't find myself giving a nod to an Asrock product. I did notice it has a 4 "egg" rating on that site though.

We have an ASRock in the family PC and it works great. Granted they're not in the high performance catagory, and their overclocking/tweaking options are very limited, but if you want a cheap motherboard ($55), that supports C2D's, and you dont want to have to buy new DDR2 memory and a new PCI-E video card. Then this is for you.

Except the PCIe x16 slot is physically x16, but supports only x4 bandwidth. Which, if x16 is 2x the bandwidth of AGP 8x, then that would mean that x4 only supports half the bandwidth of AGP. It would be a novel idea if it supported at least x8 on that slot, cause I don't think taht graphics cards honestly need x16 support yet.

Edit: Oh yeah, its also a Vista chip *barf*
