Intel Dual Core 2.8Ghz X Intel 630 3.0Ghz

Which of these processors you think is the best one and why? Intel Dual Core 2.8Ghz and Intel 630 3.0Ghz, both with 64-bit instructions. Thanks!

is the 2.8ghz even 64bit? i know 630 is 64bit.

they both are EM64T enabled. The 630 is probably the way to go, unless you do a lot of multithreaded applications or like to alt-tab out of everything

If they're the same price, I'd definitely go with the dual-core. You'll have much better response from the computer, and it's only slightly slower.

Dual core will be better but if you are going to go dual core why not just get an X2?
