Intel E2200 vs AMD 3500+

Hi Guys,
Need a straight answer, which will give me the best performance:

Intel E2200 (Pentium Dual Core) --or--
AMD 3500+ AM2 CPU


Both will have 2gb ram, Intel mobo for the Intel, PCChips A13G+ for the AMD 3500.

Play some games NHL 2009, MS Office, and Internet Apps..
Need just a good ol plain answer and opinion.

E2200. The AMD CPU is a single-core, and Core2 architecture is just better... go E2220.

Intel is always better then AMD.

in this case your right, but not nessicarly, i think AMD has way better processers for the price, for example, you can get a really good duel core, AMD for like 80 dollors, were a good intel would be like 120, for the same spec

Oh come on, if you put overclocking to the side, that 98% of people dont do they are pretty much equal. I would say the 6000 even has a edge.

6000+ is not faster than E5200. Actaully it looks that E5200 is even slightly faster overall

Thats alot different than (not even a fair Contest) They are pretty much equal.

I'm not sure which 6000+ is on those benchmarks, I think it's the brisbane.

Anyways, the benchmarks actually show the 6000+ is actually slightly better. Check out the 3d games because only gaming matters and you will see that the 6000+ beats the E5200 in 2 games, ties in 1 and looses in 1.
