Intel Hyper-Threading Technology [enable]

It should be turned on. Just press control+alt+delete and under the task manager "performance" tab where it shows the cpu in a line graph... If it has a line down the middle it is on. If it is just one big box then it is off.. I think it is on by default.

yes there is a yellow line down in the second box :/
but if it is turned on y am i not seing any diference :( or shouldnt i ?

That shows one thread but it is possible that you don't have the option checked to view both threads (in the view tab I think). Anyway, in BIOS you should be able to enable/disable hyperthreading from advanced BIOS features then the third line down should say CPU Hyperthreading.

i had a look on the manufacs web site and it says that there are a few problems with supporting cpus with ht. They fixed them in the lastest bios version for the 845GE_Max-L board
http://216.158.218.35/edoc/bios_uploads/6580v40.zip
update you bios with that and i think you should be sorted. If you dont know how to update your bios then read on the manufacs web site.

to quote their note about the bios update
2. This BIOS fixes the following problem(s) of the previous version:
- Supports CPU with HT function.
