Hmm this will be interesting. The larabree seems to be nice, but thought the Hydra seems to be nicer. Running 3 4890x2 with hydras seems to be nice while their at full scale but what about the larabree, i don;t understand what it is. Is it just an innovative GPU or does it do other things?

larrabee will use simultaneously threaded x86 cores, similar to how the shaders in current gpu's work. The thing is, they are x86 so it will be easier for developers to code current software to take advantage of using the gpu to offload work from the cpu. In the next 5 years more focus will be put towards the GPU than the cpu, as the gpu is already immensely more powerful than the cpu, and power hungry applications will begin to use the gpu more. So simply put- larrabee will compete with the existing gpu based computing solutions such as CUDA.

So will the larabree also be a powerful gaming gpu? because all I basicly use my computer for is gaming.

Who knows yet, possibly so, possibly not, it all depends on alot of things, one will be since it is a pretty different architecture making sure its compatible with current games.
