Hi everyone. I am using Intel processor laptop and pc. I have idea about the Intel they have latest core i3 , i5 and i7

I have heard AMD are also good , but i have no idea about they latest processors and thats why i am not able to choose an AMD processor laptop.

Can anyone suggest me how to choose and any site which shows the list of AMD processor old to Latest ?

Thanks in advance

You can just google the list of amd processors. Here's the AMD site with most of the models (the FX are the latest).

But don't buy an AMD. Altough they look good by the specs, they are not as good as Intel (especially comparing the new architectures Bulldozer and Ivy bridge). I won't go much in-depth.. But still, your choice :)

Intel build better cpu's, AMD has better built in gpu core. Here is what I have noticed though, I walk into a store with a bunch of laptop and all the ones that are a little better quality and a little more expensive are the Intel's and the AMD laptops are usually cheaper but you notice it in the build quality being that it is much lower end in hardware and I do not mean performance but in quality.

I had a Dell Inspiron 1501 With the 1.86 Ghz AMD Turion 64x2 which to be honest when I would be next to a buddies computer running similar hardware and similar Ghz cpu but Intel I never notice a performance difference. Yeah I am sure his is a little more power if it came to gaming but I really don't PC game so it doesn't matter.

AMD laptop CPU's aren't as good as Intel. In my personal experience, I prefer AMD's for budget desktop builds (though that may change soon), and Intel's for laptops.

I personally like Intel better in laptops. The couple of AMD laptops I have had ran really hot 100% of the time. My Intel laptops run cool as long as I am not using the graphics cards heavy (because a cool Nvidia card is non existent in the ones I have used).

Agreed. AMD laptops run quite hot, and they tend to bog down and get really slow.

Wolfe, have you tried using copper shims on your laptops? I have the NVS 160M in my E6500 and after I added copper shims to both the CPU and GPU it runs a lot cooler than it did before.

The FX2500m has a full heatsink, and I have only took the card and heatsink out to clean out the dust and other various crap out. I don't really use it much anymore as I still have not grabbed a charger yet.

The 135m has a shim in it, but I will grab another soon with the upgraded CPU and a new heatsink (the one in it is damaged). However, I only ever see top temps of 70* under load. Still hot enough to be uncomfortable.
