Intel Pentium D 820 Smithfield... ok me and my dad built a pc with the Intel Pentium D 820 Smithfield 2.8GHz... it is fast and all that, but when we looked in the bios the tempurature wus hovering around 50-52 degrees C...
is this safe? cus that is pretty darn hot...

for cooling we have the heatsink and fan that came with the processor and we got the fans that came with the case

this is the processor
this is the case

got any solutions that don't require to much money... (no more than $30...)

i would, mine doesnt hit 50 in max load... lol but mines an AMD though, intel's are more reliable when it comes to higher temperatures.
i don't suggest getting a new heatsink unless you already voided the warranty because if your chip does overheat (P4's normally don't) then it'll be covered and you can get a new one.
also, you may want to apply some arctic silver 5... COULD lower temps by 10C (probably by 5C) without voiding any warranties. make sure you follow the instructions on the site.

50C is on the warm side, but its perfectly fine. If you are concerned about that temp, i would recommend some better thermal compound, and/or a new heatsink.

What does it run at under load?

Run two pi calculations at once (super pi mod and pifast is what I use). On experience, I have my Zalman 7700 alcu and can get upper 40's Celcius when I have my case dusted. Though recently I got up past 80C. Right now it is around 46C (shocked), though I guess it was 15C this morning. Usually recently around 53C or so Idle. Get the zalman Cnps9500 if you want a cooler, that's what I would have gotten if I did it again.

I built one for my mom, put in whatever Zalman has the 12cm fan, all copper. Anyways, low temps for that one are like 48 or so, so I'd say the temps are okay, could be a little better but you're not going to see much of an improvement

It all depends what your temps are in the room. You could buy my 7700alcu off of me...(maybe).
