Hey all,

how good is this processor?

Is that processor llike based on a Celeron or something because its so cheap ?
i heard they overclock pretty well :)


im not buying one btw i just wanted to know how good they were because to me its a great price
 
I have that, I think. It's cheap because it's an OEM version, and no one wants it because it has "netburst architecture," which I am told is "bad."

I dunno. Mine runs at 30*c and is better than more expensive processors because none of my games are dual or quad thread capable.
 
Ive seen a pentium D @ 4.5 GHz which seems pretty nice, but even a low end core 2 would outperform a pentium D in single threaded apps due to the core arcitecture fortyways !
 
I have a D 940 and love it. It's not the best CPU out there, but it does the job. Right now, I'm sitting at 32*C and my AS-5 isn't even fully cured yet, and I'm using an average HSF. Unless you plan on gaming, you should be fine, and can find 2 D 925 for around $55. I don't game, but run some fairly hungry programs every so often, and have zero issues.

Not based on Celeron, and yes, they can OC quite nice from what I've seen.
