intel pentium d 930 or amd athlon 64 3700

i am going to upgrade my cpu and main board. i am going to be recoding dvds while downloading and burning and maybe run an autocad or dream weaver software. i can get both cpu for pretty much the same price, intel being cheaper by 10 bucks. should i go the dual core route or would the amd outperform it?

Based of what you seem to be doing, the Pentium D 930 would suit you better.

yea if you arent gaming, get the 930
if i wasnt gaming id just get the pentium d 805 and overclock it
