Intel Processor question?

The intel Pentium D 940 has a clock speed of 3.3 Ghz and a front side buss speed of 800Mgz.

The Intel E-6400 has a clock speed of 2.3 Ghz and a front side buss speed of 1066 Ghz.

Whats the better Processor? Is the faster front side buss speed more important then clock speed of the Processor?

Seems many major system builders are replacing the Intel 940 with the E-6400.

Clock speeds don't mean as much as they used to, but they are still a very improtant factor.

FSB also makes a big difference, but just because it has 1066Mhz FSB doesn't mean it's better. Look at the P4EE.

The E6400 would be the best choice, no question.

Just what would you notice?

I guess the question is just what would one notice between the D 940 and E-6400? And where would they really see the improvment using the E-6400?

There would be an incredible performance difference. The E6400 would be extremely faster at everything.

For example, the E6600 gets around 60FPS higher in some games then the FX62 doe, using the same video card and such.
