Intel Quad core price drops

I know the dual cores have dropped in price.The last date I had read was the 20th which has passed.Anyone heard of dates for drops of the quads like the Q9550 and when release date of the Q9650 will happen?

I know the Q6600 on newegg when from $209.99 to $199.99..... i don't keep an eye on the others, so i wouldn't know.

Yeah I figured it would drop a little more.The ones I have my eye on are the Q9450,Q9550 and the Q9650.

It maybe time for me to build a new computer. I was going to build one last year after my processor and mobo died and waited for weeks for the Quad to go down after reports of a price drop. I ended up just sending my mobo and processor back to the manufacturer since I still had my warranty.

Q6600 goes for 175 on frys.com every once in a while.

That is not a bad price on the Q9450.I am really waiting to see end pice of q9650 and q9550 to see where everything stands.As I will will probably not upgrade again for a few years I will get the best I can for a decent price.I would prefer the Q9650 though and make the best of it till maybe a couple of generations of nehalem go by
