Intel Speedstep

As my sig shows my E6750 is overclocked but in the BIOS I still have "Speedstep" enabled.
Is there any benefit to disabling this so that it runs continuously overclocked or is it best left to crank up when needed.

CPU-Z tells me it sits at 2400 MHz when idle and only peaks very occasionally.

Thanks for any replies

Either one will work fine, I know a lot of overclockers will disable it when trying to find out how much they can push their processor, as well as it being easier to post screenshots since the CPU doesn't downclock all the time.

I personally kept mine enabled after overclocking so it wouldn't be putting as much stress on the CPU when it doesn't need it, such as when I leave it on overnight.

Thanks for that, wasn't sure if I was getting the full benefit. I will leave it for the cooler temps :)
