Intel Virtualization Setting?

I was looking around through the system settings and noticed a setting called "Virtualization" and it was off. From the way the description described this, it sounds like something useful... but I'm not entirely sure.

Might it be a good idea to turn this on? I have:
Processor : Intel Core 2 Duo

Thanks for any help you can provide! :)

It's used to run virtual machines on your computer. For instance the new xp mode in windows 7 which allows you to run a copy of xp on your windows 7 desktop. If you don't use virtual os or something similar its unnecessary.

Yup, pretty much for running virtual machines, albeit turning it on doesnt affect performance when not using virtual machines so i just leave mine on(then again i do run vm's sometimes)
