Intel - Will these work? Suggestions

Ok i have a low budget (450 - 550$ CND) and was wondering if this selection of parts will work? Since i'm using a SLI video card stand-alone with just a PCI-E motherboard. Also do i NEED "dual channel" DDR2 RAM for this to work.

Motherboard + CPU

I plan to upgrade the CPU to a Dou later on, and the motherboard to support SLI.

RAM

Will increase to 2gb later

GPU (Graphics Card)

Once i upgrade the motherboard to SLI i can buy another and plan to run in SLI

Please say this is gonna work!
 
A regular 6600 would be a better video card than that 7100GS at the same price, although neither is suitable for high resolution gaming. I wouldn't even bother SLIing cards at that pricerange - better to sell the first card and get a single better one.

It would be well worth spending the extra $10 on a 7600GS, though, it's a MUCH better card.

More like a extra 50, rebates are the devil, i can stick with the card i'm getting for now and upgrade later i guess... i'm not even using a SLI board. Also what would be a good card (vista ready) thats not SLI same price range?
