Internal dialup modem

Hi all,

I have an iBook G4 running on OS X 10.3 Panther.
The internal dialup modem seems to work, but there is no modem sound when dialling. Anyone have this problem as well?

In Windows it is possible to mute the modem sound maybe you just have it muted.
