Hello,
I seem to have come up against an old foe of mine recently while happily browsing the internet this evening.
The problem in question is an internet connection that randomly seems to go wild and a router which generally confuses everyone.
I have had this problem for a while now, my desktop used to do it, now my laptop is doing the same. I can be browsing away and suddenly my connection will snap or go to local access. It comes back but only briefly, then disconnects again. I switch sockets and suddenly "No problem". It's a bit of a pain and switching sockets so much makes people think I'm overloading our home network when most of the time I have only one window open.
Before it actually knocked out all three of our computers, we think it just blew completely. My mother bought a new one and we've been doing fine... apart from me. They were the same routers each time, same brand, same version.
Any idea what on earth is going wrong here? I'm sure it's not me.
