Internet connection disconnects then reconnects everyday at 1:04 pm

It has been doing this for the past 3 months. It will disconnect exactly at 1:04 pm and then 2-3 times later in the afternoon/evening. I have a modem that is hooked up to a router. My router handles 3 wireless connections. I have tried hooking up the modem directly to my PC and it still disconnects. I've changed the modem hoping it would fix this, but the problems continue. I also bought a new ethernet cable which was no help.

My ISP says everything is fine on their end. I am simply out of options. If anyone has an idea I would appreciate it. Thanks.

For how long does it disconnect? This might be the time that the "lease" on the IP that you are using from your ISP expires and it refreshes and acquires a new IP address. I'd check the info on your current connection as it should give a time when the current IP that you are using will expire. If it's at that time everyday, there you go! :) If that's not it, then what ISP are you using? I was having issues with Charter disconnecting me several times a day and that was mostly due to traffic/network upgrades...

Internet disconnects for about 2-3 minutes, 5 at most, and then it reconnects on its own. About this lease, any idea on how to extend the time before it expires/renews. Thanks

Edit: ISP is comcast

Also, insure your using the proper cable. The router to modem cable should be a straight through. (Use the one that came with router). Pretty much all other cables are crossed. (standard) Depending on the device the symptom of a wrong cable may vary. Combine that with a normally quick disconnect/reconnect would cause the device to re-negociate it's connection thus taking longer.

Try calling Comcast. This may be their issue or their policy. What OS do you run?
