Hi, i am having difficulty getting internet connection . I have a laptop and a pc both working ok, but sons laptop when trying to access the internet seems to find the neighbours unsecured networks with a poor signal and can connect to internet via them for short spells, however when he selects my router connection which shows a strong signal he gets no internet connection. When selecting next doors connection wlan shows ok, when selecting mine wlan disconnects straight away. He has an acer laptop on vista, and normally connects wirelessly. My other computers are on windows 7 and xp, one connects wireless and the other ethernet cable. Can anyone help with some ideas please.

Go into network and sharing center and click on left side where it says manage wireless connection. Then delete your wireless connection and reset it back up.

Tried above but still no luck. The laptop used to work ok before his holidays and when he came back the trouble has started . My router appears as unidentified network. Cannot seem to find a solution to this anywhere.

If it worked fine before the holidays then try doing a system restore back to when it was working fine.
