I experience internet crashes when I download files, then I have to restart my router for it to work again.. I've switched modem, router and cables but still disconnects... anyone else experience this or know what to do..?

Is it just on your computer, or does it happen on other computers using the same router etc....???

It crashes for all the computers using the router

To me it sounds like it has something to do with either your phone line or your ISP..... do you know anyone with the same ISP and do they have problems???

ISP = Internet Service Provider.

So, how exactly does it "crash"? Does it just simply quit working, and you need to restart the router, ore does the "network cable unplugged" message come up? Anything else it does? And how do you download files? Do you use torrents/P2P clients?

What router is it, and how many computers do you have hooked up on it?

Where do you live (in the metropolitan area, or in the middle of a forest/swampland, you know hwat I mean ;))?

the little icon of my network connection down in the right corner goes from 2 computers and a globe to 2 computers and a yellow "!" saying the connection is limited. Then I have to unplug my router whitch is a dlink something.. We had 5 computers up, same problem as now when we have only 2.. I usually use torrents. When I download a file directly from the internet(like in the firefox download window) it very rarely crashes(havent experienced that for a while).. and I live like in the centre of this "town", it's a little bit "farmy" but not where I live..
