Internet doesn't work

All of sudden, internet connection doesn't work - any suggestions before calling the charter guy to come over?

what type of conection DSL, BROADBAND, dial up.

If it broadband did you try unpluging the modem and then plugging it back in. Then reset the computer. 90% of the time when the internet stop working at my house this fixes it.

If this dont work I need at least to know what type of connection before giving further advice
