This problem is killing me. IE7 is so slow it takes about 1/2 a min to load up. I would love to hear suggestions on how to fix this problem.

If you need a hijakthis log then just ask.

If all the scans for viruses and spyware come up clean then try reinstalling it. Or if you dont want to do that have you ever installed any IE7 addons/plugins/extensions? Because they might be slowing down the startup. Dont use too many and if you have try to find out which one is causing the slow startup.

no i havent got any plugins exept google toolbar but i dont think that will take up much space. I have done spyware and anivirus scans and it is still slow.

Run hiijackthis and post a log.
If it doesnt find anything then I dont have a clue lol
have you tried a reinstall of ie7?

2) the computer scans picked up only family keylogger. i can't get rid of it.

3)what are computer specs?

I dont know what O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [tsnp2std] C:\WINDOWS\tsnp2std.exe is google doesnt say anything it might be some type of traveling salesman because that is all google said. Probably put a tick beside R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = \blank.htm Thats probably all.
Your computer specs is information about your computer like how much ram it has, what type of processor it has and stuff like that. Lots of people have it in their signatures. Also start task manager and then go into processes. Start ie7 and look at the processess thing and find out how much cpu and memory it is using.

But your not helping me help you find out whats wrong.
Try starting task manager and going to processes. Start ie7 and take a note of the cpu and memory that it uses while starting. Also what is the spec of your system (ram, processor, hd etc.)
You could also try going to start, run and type "iexplorer.exe -extoff" without the quotes. Also do you use a proxy to connect to the internet? If you dont use a proxy, start it up and then going into tools, internet options, connections and UNtick the box that says "Automatically detect settings". If this works then good but if you cant connect to the internet after unticking "Automatically detect settings" then just tick it again. Also do you have google desktop? If you have google desktop make sure that you are using the most updated version.

start task manager and go to processes and sort by name.
Start ie7 then quickly go back to the task manager and see how much cpu and memory it is using, or just take a screenshot. and what is ur pc specs?

tried that still slow

Why don't you read what he asks?

When in IE7, start your Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-DELETE) and go to the tab that says "Processes". Now, if it was me, I would hit "Mem Usage" to see what is using the most memory. Take a screenshot of that by pressing the "Print Screen" button.

When he asks you for your system specs, he means Processor, RAM, HD (etc... like he has already said numerous times). Go to Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System and under the "General" tab it will show your Processor and RAM. Then go to the "Hardware" tab and click Device Manager to find what HD you have.
