Internet Explorer and Tools

I am hoping that I chose the correct forum for my simple question. I have internet explorer. A few days ago, whenever I brought up any kind of web page, none of the pictures or images would show up. So I went into tools, then advance options and found the box I needed to click to "show pictures". I clicked apply and then OK, and it worked. But then, after a few times of me bringing up more pages, it automatically defaults as if I didnt click the box. So several times and I have to go back in and click SHOW PICS and its getting quite annoying. Can anyone tell me this is happening? Is there something else I need to click in order for it to say checked. Thanks!

I have windows XP.

If you are running IE 7 and continue to see persistent problems you can go to MS and download a fresh copy of the IE setup file to it reinstalled. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...be-3385-447c-8a30-081805b2f90b&displaylang=en

That will reopening and adding favorites and links all over but will see any problems with IE itself taken care of fast. Another thing that will usually help is seeing SUN's Java runtime installed for active x support as well as the Adobe Flash Player.

Java is found at http://www.java.com/en/ If you don't have Adobe Reader 9 on that's another plus item to have as well as the latest version 10 seen at http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ Adobe Reader 9 the latest is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Another open source reader is called Sumatra PDF 0.9 available at http://sumatra-pdf.en.softonic.com/ These are all options once you have IE working fully. A fresh download would likely be the way to see that problem cleared up.
