Internet Explorer Error

Hi people.

I have been getting the following Internet Explorer error message whenever trying to access a certain website:

"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you are in the middle of something, the information you are working on might be lost.

Please tell Microsoft about this problem."

It even occurs when I try to access my email at http://www.hotmail.com
The error message will just pop up and forces me to close my Internet Explorer browser.

However the only possibility for me to view my email is through the email icon when I log in to my messenger.

The problem is, sometimes I just wanted to read my emails without signing in to messenger. Do anyone knows what is going on with my Internet Explorer?

I am certain it does not have any issue to do with spyware because I can access most websites other than http://www.hotmail.com and another few websites.

By the way, I am using Internet Explorer 6, SP2.

Thank you SirKenin for your suggestion. However the main reason I do not want to upgrade to Internet Explorer 7 is because some programs including games will not work with it, as described in some game forums.

At the same time, I have forgotten to mention that my Internet Explorer 6 occasionally shows an error message on the taskbar at the left hand corner as follows:
"Done, but with errors on page."

This shows everytime whenever I try to access to Microsoft related websites such as hotmail.com, msn.com, microsoft.com and there are always blank advertisements with many white spots here and there.

So people, any other suggesions of fixing my Internet Explorer 6?

i have the same message on my IE even if you uprade to its latest, I suggest using firefox, most spywares and malicious scripts runs on IE

MSN and hotmail just suck in general

Try it with yahoo, gmail, or some other web based mail...

I bet they don't error out, even in IE. Its probably the website. Also, older versions of IE have terrible security loop holes and shoddy java support so upgrading is probably your best bet.

Oh bull. I have been using it for probably a year and a half, and while I love it, I can admit that it has it's share of problems as well.
