Internet Explorer Question

First off, hey guys. I'm new to the forum!!

Second my internet explorer is driving me nuts and I don't know what is wrong with it! I can be on a site and it's fine, but when I go to close the site or hit the big red x at the corner lol it freezes up and takes me forever to get it to shut down. It does this for EVERY page I have pulled up! What is wrong with this thing?!?!

100% firefox and just leave IE in the past.
