Internet fails to connect.

It's not that big of a deal but everytime I seem to wake my computer, or sometimes even after I've been browsing awhile, my internet just stays at "Looking up www.google.com" or "Finding www.google.com" depending on what browser I use. So I decided to do some checks while this problem was going on. Note that the wireless USB adapter still was showing connected at full strength and did not have to be disabled and re-enabled to start working again.

It's like the computer is just being an old man not wanting to get on the crap I tell it to do and then eventually submitting to my will after so many furious clicks. Maybe a DNS issue? I don't know. Please advise.

Sounds like it could be leasing out.. But you say this only happens once?

Try a different modem or router? Upgrading the firmware of each possibly? Called your ISP to see if there was something on their end causing the issue?

Network Magic has decent router software. You can also check to see if your router has a password lock (WPA). This way you're assured that only your laptop is making the connection.

Well it's a wireless adapter on a desktop.
