Hey!

My mates got a problem, when he enables his wireless connection his pc starts acting really slow and heats up!, as well as the problem of being able to connect to his router downstairs but no internet, wev tried setting the ip's manually etc, but i guess it must be a bigger problem if the PC starts "trippin out" as soon as he enables his connection. The windows is has just been re-installed after a faulty HDD, so he got a new one.

PLZ help

cheers

Also, just noticed his CPU speed (in AI Booster) drops from 3.4 to 2.8 every so often, just for a second,im guessing thats the heat?, werid.

You may want to temporarily remove the wireless modem from the case itself to see that is defective. If a component there is failing it could be pulling power down to ground causing the heatup throughout the system. That would be the first step. If the system returns to normal the modem has to be replaced. I've heard several complaints on wireless modems already due to these types of problems. See how this goes and reply back here.
