Internet on my desktop computer

I have just brought a laptop and i have wireless internet for it. I do not use anything like a usb for my wireless internet my laptop picks it up automatically. I also have a desktop computer which i would like to have the internet using the same connection. The desktop computer does not pick up wireless internet automatically so what can i do?

they also make one that plugs into a usb port i use this at work i have found the internal one is a lot more stable and holds a stronger signal even if you know very little about desktops you should be able to install it yourself but the usb model http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124187 is really easy to install

You'll have to configure it to automatically connect it to the router.

When you try and connect to your router, does it say "manual" at the side?

i dont try and connect m router, my destop computer does not pick up any wireless connection what so ever

i know that you are getting p****d at me at the moment but i have no idea what your on about. All i want is some sort of wireless internet picker-upper, like a usb. thanks

Do you have Wirless-B, Wireless-G, Wireless-N? If you have a Wireless B adapter and a Wireless N router, then it won't work.

And if you're not picking up a signal at all, there's a hardware malfuncations or incompatiblity somewhere.

wouldnt it be easier just to buy a built in wireless (mobo)
or Go (in store and ask...) to pc world.... or sommat

No it would not. Integrated wireless cards do not guarantee the best connectivity or such. And there are only a few out of a million that have onboard WIFI.
