Internet problem- DSL vs Cable???

Hoping someone here can give me a clue as to what's going on with my internet! I have two PCs, and used to use a DSL connection to the internet, with both PCs hooked up to it with a Netgear switch. It worked just fine, no issues at all. Well I switched to a cable internet connection, and now one of the PCs will not recognize the internet connection. I don't know what's up. As it is right now, I have PC #1 hooked up to the cable connection, through the switch, and it works, but PC #2 does not recognize any internet connection. PC #2 also doesn't seem to like the cable connection hooked up directly to it (it DOES recognize the connection, but seems to run slow.) PC #2 still does GREAT on the DSL when connected to it- it immediately recognized an internet connection, etc. I don't understand why it doesn't like the cable connection- is it the PC itself, the ethernet card, the switch?? (seems unlikely it is the switch since it works fine with the DSL connection, and works fine with PC #1 on the cable.) I'm baffled and not sure what to do- any ideas or thoughts?? Thanks for any help, I need to get this figured out soon because the DSL is getting shut off tomorrow.

Obviously something is wrong with PC#2. Have you gone in and made sure the network settings are similar between both PC#1 and PC#2?
