Internet Problem (New Laptop harddrive)

When I goto Windows key+Pause/Break>Hardware>Device Manager I see a yallow question mark by Other Devices + Ethernet Controller. I click properties and it says "This device is not configured correctly (Code 1)" I can't seem to get it to work. I've looked for drivers and stuff but no lcuk. I dunno what one to look for. It says "Unknown" by "Manufacturer". I've tried to re-install it a couple time but it says it cannot install the hardware. I have an Acer laptop running Windows XP (Media Center Edition).

then you need to know the model of the acer laptop like acer blah blah, go to Acer website and download, you can also try disabling the devices, remove it permanently,reboot then re-try.
alternatively you can download drivermagician and make it update your card itself.
If after all those the problem persist then probably it's not working or there may be conflicts

I had finally got my internet working. I wasn't clciking on the right thing, anyway, problem solved.
