Internet problem

somethings screwy with my internet dont know what the problem could be, i virus scanned, spyware scanned and now i even reinstalled windows xp
now i dont know what else to do
my internet is stilll slow slow slow
but i have dsl and normally its pretty zippy
it takes like 15 minutes to download a 20mb file
when it used to take like 2 minutes
i did notice when i reinstalled it said a script is making internet explorer to run slow or something like that and i clicked abort but it crashed my computer
im pretty sure it has something to do with that

When you went to reinstall Windows did you simply delete the current installation and go on from there or did you delete the partition and create a new one for XP to go on? If you did have a trojan of some type it would have been left on the drive along with the remaining files and folders. A bad install of Windows could also present some problems.

I have DSL from BellSouth, they run their lines underground... when it rains my internet gets real slow.. some times web pages wont load... and games are real laggy.. I have to wait for a full sunny day for the ground to dry up before it goes back to normal.

When it rains it pours with users that is. When you have nothing but crappy weather what happens? people huddle inside and do what? go online! That will start to bog down the ISP's own servers. When it's nice sunny outside... "Hey people let's go for a walk!". People then get outside for recreational activities including sports. (awww geee i forgot to check the mail while it was raining. oh well during the next storm.)
