Internet Problems

This has to do with my internet connection at my house. There are 4 comps in my house, two are laptops and the other is my moms desktop and then theres my desktop.

We have wireless WEP protected network. Both my laptops work and so does my moms desktop. They get perfect connection and work fine.

Recently, my connection from my desktop hasn't working. It will connect and when it connects that little thing pops up and tells me that there is an excellent connection. Also it fluctuates from excellent to good so its not just stuck at excellent for like no reason or something.

The one thing that i did notice that is different from the other connections is that for some odd reason its not recieving packets. its "sending" them fine.

Yes, I have tried restarting my comp, recconecting, using different keys,( we have four of them).

Does anyone know whats wrong with this?

One of my friends said that getting some CAT 5(e?) cable would probably fix this.

If there is interference or something inhibiting the signal between your desktop transceiver and the wireless router, then your friend's suggestion would be the way to go.
