Internet rarely loads a page on wireless...

Hey all I got Comcast to set up their 50Mb/s internet and its been great. I have been downloading off steam at 5 MB+ and is really worth the money. One thing that is recently developing is that my laptop upstairs doesn't want to load any web pages. When I press enter it says sending request but nothing happens I have to press enter 4 or 5 times for it to do something. It says it has excellent signal and I didn't have this problem with my old Qwest router. The router is in my basement and the laptop is on the second floor, and I know that you think that the basement may have something to do with it but the Qwest router was in the exact same spot. I suspect the computer itself but could my router be bad or do you think that the signal really is getting interrupted that much? I have a Motorola SB 6120 modem and a Netgear N300 for the wireless. The laptop is on vista 32bit. I usually use Google Chrome but I have tried IE too with the same issue.

This is downstairs on the Ethernet-

Have you tried RDP into your etherneted computer, Just to see if its your laptop or your internet connection.

There might be some interference coming from a wireless phone, UHF, mobile, TV or anything that could be causing the wireless to stop working for very brief times.

What is something? Does it start loading the page at all? Do you have the laptop TCP/IP settings to obtain DNS server and IP address automatically or do you have some other settings left over from when you used the old router?

I have not tried RDP, something ,means when I press enter the page is completely white and it doesn't change. It doesn't even start to load but never finish it just stays white.

You did not comment on the TCP/IP properties, so:
Type 209.85.225.104 in the address bar of your browser and see if Google loads
If the page loads you have a DNS server issue.
Go into Network and Sharing Center / right-click the LAN / Properties / select TCP/IP4 / Properties / ensure IP address and DNS servers are obtained automatically.

Ok it did load, I checked LAN properties and reset the TCP IPv4. I will keep an eye on it and see if I am still having the problem. Thanks and I'll post back if necessary.
