I've never really had internet issues that I couldn't fix myself, though my skill-set is very limited. I've got a cable modem running through a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router and have been using that setup for 2.5 years. My PC is wired to the router, but my laptop runs through the wireless.
As of yesterday, I couldn't connect to the internet, and after a bit of swearing and trying a bunch of stuff, I remembered that I have the built-in ethernet card and a wireless card with a wired port. I had been using the wired port and switched to the built-in card to get connectivity. Now I want to reset my network, but the "Linksys EasyLink Advisor" doesn't recognize that I'm actually connected and won't let me do anything until I reestablish a connection. How do I get it to recognize that I'm actually connected? Could it be that the program is only recognizing my wireless card with the wired port, and since it's not connected, won't recognize it?
Thanks in advance.
