I have a sprint Internet card for my laptop and my wife does not. We will be going on vacation soon and would like to take both laptops and be on the Internet at the same time. I have windows vista and my wife windows xp. How can we Internet share? Could I just plug in an Ethernet cable?

Well you can always buy a Wifi receiver and make a small network, your computer will be the host (with internet) and your wife could have the receiver and get internet from your computer.

It depends on what you want:
-A USB receiver?
-A card?

Both work well.

I forgot to ask you this:
How are you going to be connected to internet? And also is your computer capable of hosting Wifi networs? If not you'll have to buy a router too.

For a complete set-up of your Wifi network, I would recommend this router and receiver:
Router
Wifi Card

If you want to look for a smaller budget, you can always look on Newegg.com for either a USB or a cheaper Router/Wifi card.

If you just want to share the internet with two computers, you can network them up with a cross-over ethernet cable, so there is a direct connection between the computers. Alternatively, you can set up a gateway configuration where one of the computer be the gateway and must be on for the second computer to access the internet. Windows XP and Vista has very detailed wizards give a straight forward guide to setting these up.
