Internet Through Telephone Line

I want to get internet through a telephone line on a laptop. How would i do that? I heard that you had to do something with aol but im not sure. Any help would be greatly appricieted.

Google dial-up internet service Oooor... Contact your local ISPs. Most providers still offer some local dial-up service.

Also, I assume your laptop has a phone jack/modem in it? Many new laptops are being sold without them.

If your laptop does not have a built in modem, you have to get a USB phone modem. Dial up modem connection is super slow though.

Get broadband.

Both dial-up and DSL are available through the phone line.
