Internet won't come up

Hi guys, we have two profiles set up on our computer. One for me and one for my better half. My browser (IE) will come up but the browser (also IE) on my hubby's side won't come up. The page that says Internet Explorer can't be display comes up all the time now. We've run every scan program we have but nothing comes up that would seem to be causing the problem. Please help.

Open IE, click on tools menu, click on internet options, click on the connections tab, click on the lan settings button. Make sure the boxes under proxy server settings are unchecked..
