There are a lot of ads and pop ups out there that claim that everyones security is at risk, that there are such things called "ip blackboxes" and that the government is monitoring everyones internet activity, and that programs are needed to ensure your security. Is the government really watching everyones internet activity? or are the companies that make these programs just trying to take your money?

even with firefox and ad and popup blocks ocassionally i still get a few popups , i know it is not spyware cuz i scan regularly i guess people are finding ways to bypass these programs so i guess the developers should step it up too to combat this.

The internet is like the sewer, you can't expect to go in and play without being exposed to all kinds of nasty diseases and viruses.

very true...

dont always depend on anti-viruses and popup blockers...you also have to make smart choices in what you go into

The government thing is just security though. In Great Britian there is a place that checks all the ingoing out outgoing (as well as all internal) email, ALL OF THEM. Theres no way to stop that I (as well as others) would like this to continue if it stop events like 9/11 (US) and 7/7 (UK).

Nah clever but kinda stupid
They're ads that relate to spyuware and adware removal yet they install it themselves

Hmm ... but sewers don't have anything interesting in them
