hi, i have rented a room in a house. the house has an internet connecten through tellus. i don't need a modem in my room, i just plug in the LAN cable and have internet access.
my question: since it is the same house, is my landlord able to see all the web sites that i visit? because he must have the only modem and all info must go through his modem, or?

Also do you have a password protected username, if he doesn't know the password of it he will not be able to see what you are doing as he will not be able to get into your account. And yes Windows Firewall can block outside connections to your computer

possibly, i dont use the windows firewall, i use sygate personal firewall, because a) its from a well known internet securtiy company b) its FREE!!!!

unless she hacks your computer, which is illegal, i wouldnt of thought she'd be able to see what you looking at. plus all that sort of info is stored your computer, not hers.

Thats the thing if she hacks your computer thats invading your privacy so you can get her arresting for that. Trust us, use a DECENT firewall, by that I mean any but Windows Firewall
