Introduction Questions

Hello everyone,

How's it going, this is my first forum post on this website. My name is Camron and I use computers for my work a lot, but have little knowledge of anything outside of Microsoft office. I ran across this forum in hopes that it can clear up some basic questions to help me in my career.

My mac book has began to run slow, I have googled multiple times what should I use to keep my mac book running fast but they all don't seem like legitimate softwares.

What do you all think is the best software to keep your mac book running smooth, fast, and safe??

Check your Mac with BitDefender and MalwareBytes.

I'm also assuming this Mac does not have an SSD, which would indeed attribute to the slowness. You could always install an SSD and reinstall OSX, then transfer your stuff over from your old drive.

Downside is you need to run an application called Trim Enabler to enable TRIM on the SSD because OSX only supports TRIM on Apple SSD's.

Another reason why I dislike Apple. Charging you an arm and a leg for their branded product to gain features that should be in there by default regardless of brand. Proprietary stuff sucks and monopolizing hardware compatibility for the sake of squeezing a few extra dollars out of the consumer is just wrong.
