IP address problems

so im not using a router, im directly connected to my modem, google says my ip address is 174.2.41.67. im hosting a ventrilo server and a minecraft server and im using that IP to connect to them and it works fine, but my friends cant connect to it. i cant figure out why.

Make sure your firewall isn't blocking the clients from connecting to your server. Disable your firewall and see if that works, if it does then you'll have to figure out a way to set exclusions to allow them to bypass the firewall.
